This weekend I went down to LA for the Creative Talent Network expo (CTN). Fantastic event. Neat to see the merge of an artist exhibition and hiring expo — it created a level of professionalism that made it comfortable and easy to talk to the crowd. Met a lot of industry rockstars as well as AMer’s in person for the first time. Animation and awesome overload

Today our Eager Beaver group on Facebook broke 300! Really cool to see how much it’s grown, since we started it in early Spring! For those who don’t know, this is a group that we started for incoming AM students: a place for students to get introduced to each other, get animation tips, and share references and inspiration. Pascal made this for us:

Today I went to Pixar to get Lotso and say hello to a friend. I wanted to note this visit because when I was there I ran into a few other AMer’s…just was a reminder of how small of a world this is! It was a pleasant surprise. By the way, Lotso really does smell like strawberries
